At Micky's Boxing Academy, we believe in staging authentic combat sports events that place an emphasis on the development of skills, precision, and toughness, whilst providing the fight fan with an unfiltered experience that demonstrates the intensity of combat.
Micky's Boxing Academy holds sanctioned bare knuckle, hybrid and gloved boxing events under Queensbury rules, including noncompetitive, developmental skills bouts. Headed by Anthony Barratt, a bare knuckle boxer and UBBF British Champion, the academy is dedicated to the development of the sport in a way that preserves the history of bare knuckle boxing and legends, such as Tom Cribb (1781 to 1848), Champion of England from 1808 to 1822.
Micky's Boxing Academy is dedicated to providing a talent pathway that focuses on the steady progression of fighters based through carefully matched events with opponents of evenly matched abilities. We tailor training programmes that meet the needs of individuals, offering mentoring programmes and skills development on a range of areas that the modern combat athlete requires for success, such as the development of social media skills and presence, generating income, image rights, commission rules and safety.
