Cookie Policy

The short version: we use the cookies that keep you signed in and remember your basket, and nothing else unless you say yes.

1. The short version

This site runs on essential cookies only. There are no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers and no analytics running today — so there is no consent banner to click. If analytics is ever switched on, a banner will appear, nothing will load until you accept, and this page will say so.

2. What we set, and why

These are strictly necessary. They either keep the member app working or hold a preference you would not want to re-enter, so they do not need consent.

  • Sign-in cookies — set by Supabase Auth when you sign in (names beginning sb-). They carry your session so the app knows who you are on each request. They are http-only, expire when the session ends or refreshes, and are removed when you sign out.
  • Your basket — stored in your browser's local storage under bkhb-cart, so a refresh or a trip to another page does not empty it. It stays on your device until you clear it or complete an order.
  • Your cookie choice — if a banner has ever appeared, your answer is kept in local storage as mickys-cookie-consent so we do not ask again. Nothing else reads it.

3. Analytics, if you accept it

We may use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages, events and shop items people actually use. It is switched off unless a banner asked you and you chose Accept.

  • Cookies it would set: _ga and _ga_<id>, both kept for up to two years.
  • What it would record: pages viewed, time on page, approximate location (city level), device and browser, and how you arrived — never your name, email, or anything you type into a form.
  • IP anonymisation is on, advertising features are off, and we do not use it to build remarketing audiences.
  • Declining, or ignoring the banner, means the Google script is never injected and no analytics cookie is created. That is enforced in the code, not just in wording.

4. Services that set their own cookies

Some things we link to are run by other companies on their own domains. Their cookies are governed by their policies, not this one:

  • Stripe — the card payment page for memberships. Stripe sets its own fraud-prevention cookies there; card details never touch our servers.
  • Google and Apple — if you choose to sign in with them, they set cookies on their own domains during the sign-in round trip.
  • WhatsApp — ticket and order links open WhatsApp, which has its own cookies and privacy terms.

5. Changing your mind

Where analytics is enabled, you can switch it back off here at any time — the page reloads the banner and your new answer is remembered.

You can also clear everything the site keeps by deleting cookies and site data for this domain in your browser settings. Doing that signs you out and empties your basket, but it removes every trace immediately.

To opt out of Google Analytics across every site, Google offers a browser add-on.

6. More detail, and contact

How we handle personal information more broadly — including how long we keep it and the rights you have — is set out in our privacy policy, alongside our terms and conditions.

If anything here is unclear, or you want to know exactly what a particular cookie is doing, email info@mickysboxing.co.uk.
